Warm Thoughts, aka Touche Amore drummer Elliot Babin's solo project, formed under possibility one of the best band names - Dad Punchers. The name change reflects Babin's move from bedroom recordings to studio seriousness and I Went Swimming Alone is his most ambitious set of records yet. Still pop-punk heavy and covered in enough hooks to hang your entire wardrobe on, his music has progressed to a more mature, meaningful level. Any fans of his band Touche Amore or pop-punk fans in general that are yet to hear his music need to make this a priority!
FFO: Touche Amore, Gulfer, Donovan Wolfington, The Sidekicks
"Warm Thoughts is the continuation of Elliot Babin (Touche Amore)’s bedroom recording project, which previously took form under the consciously self-sabotaging moniker Dad Punchers. In 2016, Babin set out to create his most focused and dynamic release to date, without compromising the unwavering and occasionally heartbreaking honesty of his previous work. The result is I Went Swimming Alone: a new LP which revolves around themes of isolation, nostalgia, and romanticizing the future as a way to cope."
