The LA post-hardcore outfit bring us their 4th LP which is centred on the passing of singer Jeremy Bolm's mother after her battles with cancer. It is by far their most honest moving and intriguing record to date. Although the subject matter is obviously sad and difficult Stage Four still holds optimism and the celebration of life in discussing dealing with the death of a loved one. Bolm's voice has never sounded better - switching between singing and shouting the guitar work is masterful and uplighting whilst the rhythm section keep up the pace and punch.
