Ten years on from arguably The National's greatest album made thus far - and to celebrate we are treated to a limited expanded edition of the record on a glorious marbled white and violet 3LP set in a beautiful tri-fold sleeve. It's likely that High Violet hasn't really ever been out of rotation, if like us it's a regular go-to when you need some musical comfort or with a huge array of the album's tracks dominating playlists to this day. From the opening tremors of 'Terrible Love', to mid-album perfection 'Bloodbuzz Ohio' and the drunken cry-along finale of 'Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks' this album really does have it all. Now accompanied by an additional LP consisting of excellent alternative versions of the album's tracks, plus bonus tracks all of which are on vinyl for the first time. A must have if you don't own this classic on vinyl yet or if you're a National fan(atic)!
