"The long-awaited follow-up to the Wu-Tang Clan classic, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…, finally arrived in 2009 a triumphant return to the mafioso rap blueprint Raekwon helped pioneer. More than just a sequel, this album cemented Rae’s legacy as one of hip-hop’s sharpest storytellers, blending gritty crime tales, street wisdom, and Wu-Tang brotherhood. Backed by cinematic production from legends like J Dilla, Dr. Dre, RZA, Pete Rock, and The Alchemist, OB4CL2 carries the spirit of the original Purple Tape into a new era. Featuring appearances from Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, GZA, and more, the album was hailed as one of the best hip-hop releases of the 2000s, a perfect balance of nostalgia and evolution that connects the past with the present."
