The Philadelphia-based art/math/alt-rock band create seriously intense tension on each track as they smash their way through as if their lives depended upon it. Eve Alpert and Kasra Kurt’s guitars occupy themselves most often with the pace-keeping work typical of a rhythm section. Meanwhile Gerasimos Livitsanos’ bass and Hugo Stanley’s drums seem to perform commentary and reportage from deeply embedded positions at the front. They somehow manage to cram in a whole full-length albums worth of music and ideas in under eighteen minutes!
