This the Philadelphia band's 3rd LP is their most grown-up honest and heartfelt record to date. The pop-punk rockers have honed their sonic output whilst also allowing for wider influences. Holy Ghost is split in half between co-songwriters Jacob Ewald (first 6 tracks) & Brendan Lukens (last 5 tracks) to reflect their different mindsets. Ewald comes off as assertive yet very melancholic whilst Lukens 5 tracks are fragile and breaking at the seams (reflecting the feelings of a someone battling with mental health problems but finding light in seeking help friends and no doubt the music) yet high-octane and full of hooks and shout-a-longs.
