This is his first LP on his own label which follows last years incredible Space Cassava EP. Dubbed the 'psychedelic funk architect' Kutiman manages to live up to the billing. 6AM is a rollicking psychedelic roots-y rock'n'roll record which dips into funk and soul and wears its underlying influences from Africa and the Middle East on its sleeve.
