Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodymann takes us on a journey through the hazy sounds of house soul hip-hop break beat and funk featuring the likes of Flying Lotus Jai Paul Nightmares on Wax and Yaw. The tracklist certainly suggests a classic Moodymann set, moving through hazy hip hop, dashes of broken beat, soul, and house music. In addition to cuts from his own creative circle, the mix features 11 exclusive Moodymann edits. Like everything Kenny Dixon Jr. touches, DJ-Kicks showcases the taste, skill, and soul of a dance music original.
