The debut LP from Japanese Breakfast aka Philadelphia-based Michelle Zauner who also fronts the excellent band Little Big League. Japanese Breakfast initially started out as a bedroom tape of Zauner's before the news of her mother's cancer diagnosis took her back home to Oregon where she revamped some of her original lo-fi recordings. The result is Psychopomp - a blissful mix of lo-fi shoegaze indie and shimmering 80's fuelled synth-pop full of classy hooks - which shines some brightness on the sadness of the circumstances in which it was created. Listen out for fellow Philly-based musician and leader of indie band Radiator Hospital Sam Cook-Parrott give some guest vocals to the hit 'Everybody Wants To Love You'.
