London-based Alexander Shields follows up last years excellent LP Feathers Wet Under the Moon with Wooden Mask. The record was recorded over a winter at London's Holy Mountain Studios and is a collection of 13 sparse tracks featuring delicate acoustics ambient noise field recordings and Alexander's intimate vocals. The results are stunning - managing to create an atmosphere that is beautiful yet haunting.
