The debut album from the collaboration between Justin Vernon (aka Bon Iver) and The National's Aaron Dessner. The collaboration can be drawn back to 2008 when they collaborated together for the first time on for the Dark Was The Night compilation. 10 years later, the two have reunited to bring us an entire album of their collaborative project which is part of their People platform and includes additional performances from Phoebe Bridgers, Lisa Hannigan, Richard Reed Parry and others. Big Red Machine is the meeting point between the pairs electronic and acoustic instrumentations and you can hear both Bon Iver and The National in this, as well as Vernon's other projects (in particular Volcano Choir) and Dessner's more electronica outputs. If you're a fan of either or both Bon Iver and The National then I would highly suggest not letting this one skip on by.

"Collaboration between Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and The National’s Aaron Dessner. Other collaborators include Phoebe Bridgers, Lisa Hannigan, Richard Reed Parry and more. In 2008, Aaron Dessner sent Justin Vernon an instrumental sketch of a song called Big Red Machine for Dark Was The Night. This was before they had met in person. Justin wrote a song to it, interpreting the Big Red Machine title as a heart. 10 years of friendship later, there are 10 more songs -Big Red Machine. Each song includes a large number of collaborators via the People platform and the record was produced by Justin and Aaron with longtime collaborator Brad Cook and engineered by Jonathan Low primarily at Aaron’s studio Long Pond in Upper Hudson Valley, NY."
