The third studio album from A Winged Victory For The Sullen, aka the contemporary ambient duo of Dustin O’Halloran and Adam Wiltzie (one-half of Stars Of The Lid), and their first for Ninja Tune. The duo have been busy scoring soundtracks for movies and television (winning an Emmy and being nominated for an Oscar as well as a Golden Globe), but The Undivided Five is a reminder of their power together in making music that combines contemporary classical with ambient electronica for something truly magical. Victory!

"Giants of contemporary ambient and electronic inspired music, A Winged Victory For The Sullen make a bold return on new album ‘The Undivided Five’. The pair, made up of Dustin O’Halloran and Adam Wiltzie, have created iconic film scores and forward-thinking ambient groups, releasing a series of game-changing records. On ‘The Undivided Five’ they rekindle their unique partnership for only their second piece of original music outside of film, TV and stage commissions, creating an album that channels ritual, higher powers and unspoken creative energies producing bold new work built on their foundations in ambient and neoclassical. Their 2014 album ‘Atomos’ was the product of a commission to score a new performance by Royal Ballet choreographer Wayne McGregor, while 2016’s ‘Iris’ was the score for director Jalil Lespert’s thriller, ‘In The Shadow Of Iris’. O’Halloran previously won an Emmy for his 2015 theme song for Jill Soloway’s Transparent series and was nominated for an Oscar as well as a Golden Globe for his 2016 score with Hauschka for Garth Davis’ Lion. Wiltzie, meanwhile, founded lauded ambient-classical groups Stars Of The Lid, The Dead Texan and Aix Em Klemm and has since scored Hollywood films, including a collaboration with Jóhann Jóhannsson for 2014’s ‘The Theory Of Everything’."
