The last recordings made by one of our favourite bands of all time Richmond Fontaine who called it a day with their last studio-album You Can't Go Back If There's Nothing To Go Back To in 2016. Don't Skip Out On Me is the soundtrack accompaniment to Richmond Fontaine and The Delines' singer/songwriter and acclaimed novelist Willy Vlautin's fifth novel of the same name which was released on 1st February 2018 via Faber and Faber. While the CD will be included with the book Décor Records have put together a release the album on vinyl. The Don't Skip Out on Me soundtrack follows on from the first soundtrack Vlautin produced for his then second novel Northline which has also just been given a vinyl release for the first time via Decor Records. The record was recorded in early 2017 just after the band called it quits on their final European tour. It's the perfect instrumental soundtrack to the tales that are told through the book but is good enough as a standalone piece of beautiful country-folk soaked Americana that takes you to barren landscapes and the long-winding dusty roads of America.
