The second LP from the Atlanta trio formed of ex members from Deerhunter Balkans and Carnivores who create a frantic frenzied yet catchy mix of post-punk and indie-pop. Multi-Task balances the band’s trademark off -kilter and unconventional jams with an elegance and an underlying seductive sophistication to create an aura of romance. The band have stepped up the production values for us whilst still very much a lo-fi record it sheds the heavily hissing background noise which was evident on their first album. Omni remind me of the poppy hooky moments in the contemporary post-punk of Women/Viet Cong/Preoccupations and Parquet Courts with the indie-rock cool of Deerhunter or Spoon.
