The London-based band led by lead-singer Eno Williams follow-up their brilliant self-titled 2014 debut LP with Uyai (pronounced ‘you eye’) which means “beauty” in Ibibio language and refers to the strength and free spirit of women in particular those from Williams' family. Sonically the record is a clash of African and electronic elements inspired in equal measure by the golden era of West African funk disco modern post-punk and electro.
