Will Wiesenfeld bring us his 3rd Baths album and the long-awaited follow-up to 2014's exceptional Ocean Death EP. The new material is less outwardly grim than the darker tones of Ocean Death and his last LP Obsidian but twice as bittersweet. Romaplasm reimagines approachable electronic pop songs as pieces of scaffolding that can be lived in expanded and retracted or torn down entirely. It's the next chapter in this great producers career and can be seen as the meeting point between his earlier effervescent works and the moodier later works. However you want to look at it - it's a mighty fine album and it's great to have his music back in our lives!
