The New York City-based band's 2013 debut LP Unleash Yourself was a raw straight-up emo/pop-punk record of short and sharp bursts of energy which the band described as “sad punk songs about being queer trans and black.” Their 2015 EP The Blackest Eye saw them taking a more complex approach and with their 2nd LP Silver Haze the band have fully embraced this approach. Aye Nako are actively seeking a planet where those who fall in the margins can feel okay about being themselves.
