J Mascis’ 2nd solo record. It’s beautifully hushed and stripped-back but also with moments of eruption and noise!

The 6th solo record from J Mascis a true guitar hero for people who hate guitar heroes. Tied to a Star sees J largely hanging up his Jazzmaster for an acoustic and spinning a set of breezy folk-rock scattered with a few nuggets of the crushing volume that he made his name on. A natural progression and one that doesn’t disappoint.
